Client: Friends of Princes Park, Liverpool

Material: Oak

Henge was developed with the friends of Princes Park and the young people who used the park.

The consultation took place to develop an area in the park that would be a place for the older children to hang out. During the consultation process a henge was discussed and also a tower we listened to them and realised their ideas. We also encouraged all the people who took part to carve their names in the lintels.

The project has been a great success and welcomed by all members of the community it has also provided a great outdoor theatre space for a local youth drama group who put on a version of midsummer nights dream. Regular events are now held at the henge and an estimated 400 people turned up on the eve of the solstice.
